Birthing Pavilion Overview

On our 18-bed LDRP (labor, delivery, recovery, and post-partum) Unit, we deliver over 1,000 babies annually and on an average, 55% of our patients are high risk. Our nurses are cross trained in all aspects of obstetrical care within the Birthing Pavilion, including both high and low risk and the role of the circulator in the operating room. As a member of this highly collaborative team you will assess, plan, organize, supervise and make nursing judgments and decisions for our patients. Birthing Pavilion Services
- Our nurses will form a team with your obstetrician, midwife, or Family Medicine provider to make sure your labor and delivery are as comfortable as possible.
- The Birthing Pavilion includes two operating rooms for planned and unplanned cesarean (also known as C-section) births. Doctors and anesthesiologists are also available at all times.
- The nurses in our Lactation Clinic can answer any concerns you may have about breastfeeding.
Our Staff Certifications
- Birthing Pavilion nurses maintain certifications in BLS, ACLS and PALS.
