Nurse Residency Program
Cheshire Medical Center
Keene, NH

You worked hard and your future is bright.

Our nurse residency can help you reach your full nursing potential.

Cheshire Medical Center’s 12-Month Nurse Residency Program provides a structured orientation experience for new ADN, BSN, and MSN nurses with less than one year of clinical experience—helping them launch their nursing career with confidence.

Over the course of the year, Nurse Residents take part in a combination of classroom sessions, skills labs, simulations, and guided clinical practice. The first few months focus on building a strong foundation in assessment, critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and technical skills in a safe and supportive learning environment.

Throughout the 12 months, the program blends multiple methods of adult learning while fostering both clinical expertise and leadership skills. This intentional, year-long approach supports a smooth transition from student nurse to acute care professional nurse, ensuring graduates are ready to excel in their nursing careers.
