System Staffing Office

The System Staffing Office’s (SSO) mission is to support the advancement of health by providing a resource pool of per diem skilled professionals to care for patients in all inpatient and ambulatory settings.

The SSO FlexChoice per diem program hires and deploys experienced, professional, per diem RNs, LPNs, MAs, LNAs and Patient Safety Attendants. Per Diem (non-benefitted) status allows these individuals the flexibility to select their own schedule and choose from a variety of diverse and exciting practice locations across the D-H system.

SSO staff typically numbers over 100 staff on any given day. The accumulated hours worked by the team is between 6000 and 9000 hours per month, supporting 6 hospitals and over 40 clinics.

The purpose of the SSO staff and schedulers is to identify and deploy available staff to the clinical areas that have the highest need for help on any given day

These locations include the DHMC main campus in Lebanon, our Dartmouth Health member hospitals – Cheshire Medical Center, Mount Ascutney Hospital, Valley Regional, New London Hospital and Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital, as well as Dartmouth Health ambulatory areas in Manchester, Concord and Nashua, New Hampshire.

The System Staffing Office has both Per Diem (varied shift options) and recently added an In-house Traveler model; FT or PT System Float options. In a full or part-time position, one would float to all six Dartmouth Health system hospitals in the clinical settings in which you are skilled and competent. In most cases you would work for several (14) weeks in one location similar to a travel contract, and the next assignment would be at another facility.

We are looking for Med/Surg, Critical Care and Emergency Department RNs with 2 or more years of experience. Your ability to float offers you premium pay with the benefits of a full or part-time employee and the variety of environments of a travel RN while being able to stay close to home.
